​The Citizen's Police Academy premise is "Understanding through Education". The goal of this program is to educate the public about the Camillus Police Department and to increase positive relationships between citizens and our police officers. Our hope is that the graduates of the Citizen's Police Academy become more aware and better informed about how the police department operates, and will encourage friends, coworkers, and families to join the Camillus Police Department in this rewarding program. The program involves both classroom and interactive instruction.
