TIPS 4-1-1

The people that know the most about a neighborhood are its residents. Crimes are solved every day because concerned citizens notify their Police Department about illegal activity. You may have information that will help the Camillus Police Department solve a crime, save a person’s life or simply make your neighborhood a safer and more enjoyable place to live. Please take a minute to call us or fill out and submit a form so that we can address the problems in your community. You can remain anonymous, or  as much information as you feel comfortable with.  The information received will not necessarily be viewed immediately. If you are reporting a crime in progress or know where a fugitive is located at this time, please call 911. Please note that crime tips are not monitored 24/7.

To phone in a crime tip, call 315-407-1TIP (407-1847) or fill out the form

Should you have an incident where you need a more immediate police response, do not hesitate to call 911. Many residents may feel as if they can only call 911 in the most extreme emergency circumstances. You should call 911 anytime you feel the situation needs an immediate police response. Calls can range from a report of loud noise, to the need for an accident or theft report, to an alarm activation, to reports of suspicious activity, and may include more serious incidents. Our officers understand that the perception of what constitutes an emergency varies among the citizens that call 911. In addition, employees at the Onondaga County 911 Center are trained to prioritize all 911 calls and dispatch them accordingly to the officers patrolling your community. Our website and social media accounts are not monitored 24/7.
