The Camillus Police Department's Honor Guard is staffed by (8) officers and was formed in 1998. Members of the Honor Guard donate their time during evenings, weekends and holidays to represent the Town of Camillus Police Department. These dedicated individuals, all of whom are volunteers, perform their duties proudly, with great distinction and sincere dedication to the Town of Camillus Police Department. The Camillus Police Department Honor Guard supports retirements, memorial services, parades and other events as requested. It takes special dedication to stand for hours without moving a muscle. But it's what honor guards endure to pay tribute to their fallen officers.

HANDPICKED to serve as a member of the Honor Guard, my standards of conduct and level of professionalism must be above reproach, for I represent all others in my service.

OTHERS earned the right to wear the ceremonial uniform, one that is honored in rich tradition and history. I will honor their memory by wearing it properly and proudly.

NEVER will I allow my performance to be dictated by the type of ceremony, severity of the temperature, or size of the crowd. I will remain superbly conditioned to perfect all movements throughout every drill and ceremony.

OBLIGATED by my oath I am constantly driven to excel by a deep devotion to duty and a strong sense of dedication.

REPRESENTING every member, past and present, of the Town of Camillus Police Department, I vow to stand sharp, crisp, and motionless, for I am a Ceremonial Police Officer.

Should you have an incident where you need a more immediate police response, do not hesitate to call 911. Many residents may feel as if they can only call 911 in the most extreme emergency circumstances. You should call 911 anytime you feel the situation needs an immediate police response. Calls can range from a report of loud noise, to the need for an accident or theft report, to an alarm activation, to reports of suspicious activity, and may include more serious incidents. Our officers understand that the perception of what constitutes an emergency varies among the citizens that call 911. In addition, employees at the Onondaga County 911 Center are trained to prioritize all 911 calls and dispatch them accordingly to the officers patrolling your community. Our website and social media accounts are not monitored 24/7.
